Smart homes and voice assistants can do all this and more! Here are some common solutions:


Automations are ways to control your home with minimal to no user input required.  They are actions which can be triggered from inputs such as a movement sensor, or based on additional information such as the time of day.  Typical solutions include linking your home with your mobile phone so that your house knows where you are and can turn on your heating or your outside lights for you getting home.  Or switching off the heating if a door or window is left open to save on your fuel bills.
A voice assistant like Amazon Alexa or Google Home can be used to control the systems in your home. You can use your voice to control the temperature in your rooms, or switch off lights. As well as allowing you to control your home, the voice assistant can provide feedback. For example, Alexa tells you when there is someone at the door, can let you know the temperature, or can read out what’s on your calendar for the day.
A dashboard is a user interface that we can set up for you to interact with your home. Essentially it is a screen with links to view and control the functions in your home. This can be personalised for quick and easy access to the things you use most often. It works on a range of devices, such as tablets, smart phones and computers. We can even add simple buttons that sit directly on your smart phone screen (alongside your other apps) to do things like switch off all of the lights in your home or boost your heating for an hour, with a single touch.

You may already have some smart devices, such as a smart wall thermostat to control your heating, we can assist with trouble shooting existing systems from other suppliers and also offer ongoing support for the systems we install.
